This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we hold it and how long we keep it.

Who is responsible for your information

The data controller for this website is South Wales Peptides (registered trading name to be confirmed), South Wales, United Kingdom. Questions about this policy, or any request relating to your information, can be sent to hello@southwalespeptides.co.uk.

REPLACE BEFORE LAUNCH — insert the registered company name, company number and registered address once confirmed.

Information we collect

Order details such as name, email address, telephone number and delivery address; the research-use, age and terms confirmations you give at checkout, together with the date and time they were given; and any information you include in a contact enquiry.

We do not collect special category data and we do not ask for information about health, medical history or intended personal use.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Performance of a contract — to process, fulfil and deliver your order and to handle returns and refunds.

Legal obligation — to retain sales, tax and accounting records as required by UK law.

Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep a record of the research-use declarations made by purchasers so that we can demonstrate how our products are supplied.

Consent — for optional cookies and any marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

Delivery carriers, so that your order can be dispatched; our payment provider, which handles card details directly so that we never receive or store them; and our IT and email providers, which host this site and our correspondence.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

Order records, invoices and the associated research-use declarations: 6 years from the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, in line with UK accounting record requirements.

Contact enquiries that do not result in an order: 12 months.

Cookie consent preferences: 12 months, after which you will be asked again.

REPLACE BEFORE LAUNCH — confirm these periods with the business and its accountant.

Where your information is stored

Information is stored on servers within the UK or the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes information outside that area, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may request access to your personal information, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, and request a copy in a portable format. Write to hello@southwalespeptides.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
